Ornamental garden here, ornamental garden there, but finally, what exactly does it describe an ornamental garden? To answer this question that many of you are asking, we decided to devote an article «lexicon» to the garden.
Do not be afraid, not knowing the terms is in no way reprehensible, and anyway, we are a bit here for that too: to transmit, share and cultivate!
The ornamental garden
The ornamental garden is a garden where shrubs, flowers, perennials, climbing flowers grow and color the outside of the house for the greatest pleasure of the eyes. While the objective of the vegetable garden is to plant and cultivate plants, fruits and vegetables that will be consumed, the ornamental garden is purely and simply decorative, for the well-being of the occupants.
You choose the varieties of plants and plant species that will come each season embellish and decorate your green space.
The pleasure garden
A pleasure garden is above all a practical and functional outdoor space. It can be vegetable or ornamental, and it is its use function that prevails. For example, an ornamental lawn is a perfectly maintained lawn, which is admired by all neighbors. An impeccable lawn, with a velvet touch, of a deep and beautiful green on which no one must walk otherwise reducing the efforts of the gardener to nothing. Whereas a lawn is a lawn on which children run, play ball, lie down. See the difference? Ultimately, it all depends on how you use your garden.

In the garden, it is the plants that offer the show; each season reveals its share of colors, its blooms, its perfumes embalmed… Some varieties of shrubs lend themselves particularly well to the function of ornament. This is the case of honeysuckle, lilac or hydrangeas.

Wintering is the action of sheltering cold and fragile plants during the harsh period of winter. These plants and plants go into vegetative sleep during the winter months while being protected from bad weather and temperature drops.
